A great evening was had by all who attended the Magic Night on Saturday 17th October.
The Main Hall was decorated by members of the PSA and looked really welcoming with a red and black theme. The close-up magic was performed at the tables from 7:15pm. Every table was visited at least 3 times and each magician astounded and confounded – with flaming wallets, hangers appearing from purses, hair bands that untangled from each other, and pencils passing through playing cards to name but a few of the tricks.
Following the interval, during which each table was served with Pizza, cooked by members of the PSA, there was a stage show. Dr Airey played a starring role and other parents and pupils were also asked to join in. Sandy the Dog, £20 notes appearing from a banana and mind reading with the help of Angry Birds rounded off a great performance by the Bexley Magic Society.
We held a raffle on the night and we are grateful to Fiesta Mexicana in Orpington for a £30 voucher for our main prize.
It is the first time we have arranged the Magic Night and it proved to be a hit – we sold all the tickets which is a first for a PSA event. We are extremely grateful to all parents and pupils who attended and are thrilled that we were able to raise £950 for the school.
